A savory dish featuring tender boneless pork chops topped with a creamy bacon mushroom sauce, combining crispy bacon, sautéed garlic and mushrooms, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce for a delicious and comforting meal.

Ingredients

Pork Chops

  • 4 boneless thick cut pork chops
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste

Bacon Mushroom Sauce

  • 1 package bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 8 oz pre-sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 oz shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Bacon: Cut the bacon into small pieces and cook them in a large pan over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove bacon from pan and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
  2. Tenderize Pork Chops: Place a piece of saran wrap on the counter, lay the pork chops on top, then cover with another piece of saran wrap. Use a meat tenderizer to pound the pork chops until they are flattened.
  3. Season Pork Chops: Season both sides of the flattened pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder according to your taste.
  4. Cook Pork Chops: Place the seasoned pork chops in the pan with the bacon grease and cook over medium-high heat until the internal temperature reaches 145°F, flipping to brown both sides evenly. Remove pork chops and set aside.
  5. Prepare Sauce Base: Drain excess grease from the pan, leaving enough to sauté the garlic. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  6. Sauté Mushrooms: Add pre-sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook for 10 minutes or until the mushrooms are browned and tender.
  7. Make Creamy Sauce: Add shredded Parmesan cheese, heavy whipping cream, cooked bacon pieces, salt, and pepper to the pan. Stir well and cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens to desired consistency.
  8. Serve: Spoon the creamy bacon mushroom sauce over the cooked pork chops and enjoy your meal.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure pork chops reach a safe internal temperature of 145°F.
  • For extra flavor, deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine or chicken broth before adding garlic and mushrooms.
  • Use full-fat heavy cream for a richer sauce, or substitute with half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • If desired, garnish with fresh parsley or thyme for added color and freshness.
  • To reduce fat, drain some bacon grease but retain enough to flavor the dish.
